Typically, an addiction is the state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming. An addiction is something that takes over your life. Of all the many 'problems' I've had, and among the ones that still linger, the one that always rises to the top, is my shopping addiction.
With all the sales bombarding us at the moment, I can't even keep track of all of them, black friday, cyber monday, etc, etc, etc, naturally, my addiction gets triggered. And I, of course decided to go to the one place that never has any sales at all, Chanel. Chanel is to me as Tiffany is to Holly Golightly. 'Stepping in there calms me down right away, the proud look of it. Nothing bad could happen to you there.' It is my happy place.
I looked around and realized I didn't need anything, but then again, they're not really in the business of needing. They're in the business of wanting. And I want all of it. I could literally own every item at that store. But to cut to the chase, I walked out with two new pieces to add to my collection and I got my shopping fix.
