I'm very much a creature of habit, and habitually I've been spending the Christmas/New Year Holiday in my homeland Monterrey with family since I left town ages ago. I jet-set so much all year round, that it's nice to slow down and reconnect with my Mexican roots. I feel like a tourist every time I'm back visiting and I love re-discovering places. The Barrio Antiguo or "Old Town" is the oldest area in downtown Monterrey and some parts of it preserve their unique original architecture. Though it feels a bit more deserted than I remember it when I was a club hoping, rebellious underage tennager with a fake ID, Spice Girl / Shirley Manson wannabe (pre drug wars), it's still a good hang. Crazy fact: The after-hour club I used to frequent back then, Skizzo, still exist.
The weather is a bit nippy but not cold enough to wear the coats I packed, so I borrowed my Dad's suede bomber jacket to accompany my super casual Sunday look of Lulu Lemon leggings and Nikes. I converted the top to a crop top to break the look's total black. Also, of course I'm wearing the new Chanel Runway sunnies that Santa brought me.
