As the season comes to an end, I was sorting through my clothes to start to prepare for the fall and shockingly found myself staring at a lineup of off-the-shoulder summer tops hanging in my closet. The universally flattering off-the-shoulder top was the official summer 2016 uniform, I certainly had an OTS top addiction. I even bought the same Zara ruffled OTS top in 3 different colors, you know which one I'm talking about. Thank God we're at the off-the-shoulder downfall phase. The other day I tried wearing one of my to-go OTS tops from this summer and I just couldn't bare it. After literally everyone, even our own mothers included an OTS top on their daily #OOTD throughout the whole summer, the spark is gone. Social media has completely destroyed the possibility of any trend remaining fresh longer than a season at most.
However, there's something super classic about the Equipment OTS top I'm wearing in this look. Perhaps it's the Chanel slingback and the classic flap bag that I paired it with, which never fail and I will never tire of. Perhaps it's the clean lines. I can see this one making it through early fall.
As for the pile of off-the-shoulder tops in my closet? To keep or not keep? That is the question...
